CATALOG · R REFUNDS Effective 2026

Try it first. That is the whole point.

Most software asks you to pay before you know whether it helps, then argues with you about the refund. We inverted that. The free version is the trial — every document, every bundle, every export, on a small design, for as long as you like. If IntelliBOM does not save you time, never buy a seat.

01 · The short version

The whole policy in three lines

Try before you buy. The free tier has no time limit, no card, and no feature locks. Prove IntelliBOM on your own work first.

If a major bug blocks you after purchase and we cannot fix it within 7 days, we refund you in full.

You can cancel auto-renewal at any time, from the Paddle customer portal or by emailing us. That stops the next charge; it is not the same as a refund. See section 04.

02 · Why it works this way

The free tier does the job a trial usually does

A 14-day trial is a countdown. You install it during a busy week, forget it, and lose access before you have run it on anything real. That is a bad deal dressed up as generosity.

The free tier has no clock at all. It is limited by design size only — see the FAQ for the current limit. Everything else is unlocked: all thirteen document types, the full costing and stock engine, the vendor library, manufacturing allowances, PDF and XLSX export. You can build your entire company profile, materials, vendors and templates in it, and nothing you set up is lost when you buy a seat.

So by the time you pay, you already know exactly what you are getting. A seat removes the size limit — that is the only thing that changes.

03 · When we refund

The blocking-bug guarantee

If a major bug blocks you after purchase and we cannot fix it within 7 days, we refund the full price of your current subscription year.

To keep that promise honest rather than vague, here is exactly how we read it:

“Blocks you” means IntelliBOM will not do something it is advertised to do, and there is no reasonable way around it. A crash on compute, an export that will not generate, a document that comes out wrong in a way that makes it unusable. It does not mean a cosmetic issue, a feature we have never claimed to have, or a limitation of the free tier.

“Within 7 days” runs from when you report it to us, not from when you bought. Report it on day 200 of your year and the same 7-day clock starts then. Use Report a Bug inside the add-in where you can — it packages the debug log, which is usually what lets us find the cause quickly.

“We refund” means the full amount you paid for the current year, back to your original payment method. Not a credit, not a partial, not a voucher.

We would rather fix the bug. Most of the time we will, well inside a week. This clause exists for the times we cannot.

04 · Cancelling

Cancelling is not the same as a refund

These are two different things and it is worth being blunt about the difference.

Cancelling stops the next annual charge. Your seat keeps working normally until the end of the year you have already paid for. You can cancel at any time, for any reason, without telling us why — from the Paddle customer portal (the link is in the receipt Paddle emailed you) or by writing to support@intellibom.ca.

A refund returns money you have already paid. Outside the blocking-bug case in section 03, we do not refund a subscription year that is already running — the free tier is there precisely so that you never have to gamble on that.

When a seat ends, IntelliBOM does not stop working. It falls back to the free tier. Your data, settings, libraries and templates are untouched — they live on your own machine and in your own Fusion designs. Nothing is deleted and nothing is held hostage.

05 · How to ask

One email, no script to get past

Email support@intellibom.ca with your Paddle order number (it is on the receipt) and a sentence about what went wrong. There is no form, no ticket queue, and no retention team — the developer reads it.

We aim to answer within two business days. Approved refunds are processed through Paddle, which handled the original payment; the money returns to your original payment method, and how long it takes to appear is up to your bank — typically a few business days.

If we decline a refund we will tell you why in plain language, and you can reply and argue with us. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for every sale and may also apply its own buyer protections independently of this policy.

06 · Your legal rights

This policy does not replace the law

Nothing on this page limits any right you have under consumer-protection law that cannot be waived by agreement. Depending on where you live, you may have statutory rights — including a cooling-off or withdrawal right — that apply in addition to everything above. Where they do, they win.

If you believe you have such a right, say so in your email and we will deal with it on that basis rather than making you argue the point.

This policy forms part of our Terms & Conditions.

Not sure yet? Then do not buy yet.

Install the free version and run it on a real design. That is the honest way to decide.
